PC Magazine have the third review of the JVC HA-NC80 noise-canceling headphones that I’ve seen and it’s got more in common with the modest CNET review than the gushing blog critics review.

Again, it’s the discomfort that is the main problem found with these headphones. However, there is praise for the audio quality and price. For $40, there’s not much too lose if you fancy trying them out.

CNET have reviewed the JVC HA-NC80 noise canceling headphones and although they like them, they don’t give the same gushing praise as previous reviews.

As is to be expected for a pair of $40 headphones, CNET aren’t completely blown away by the noise-canceling of these headphones which the reviewer found struggled with high-frequencies. The reviewer also found the small cups of the headphone to be uncomfortable after only a short period of use.

Overall, by rating these headphones at 6.3 out of 10, CNET can only endorse them as a good choice for those on a budget.

JVC HA-NC80 Noise Canceling Headphones

Jeff Martin has reviewed the JVC HA-NC80 noise canceling headphones for BlogCritics and seems blown away by these $40 headphones.

This appears to be the first time Jeff has tested ‘phones other than the standard Apple iPod earbuds and the noise-cancelation of the JVC headphones is enough to get him to switch. He’s also impressed by the sound of the JVC headphones although does feel they are a bit too bulky for day-to-day use.
